Sawmills Studio is a community arts space run by a collective of artists, designers and typographers who have workshops in the community and educational bodies. They are committed to promoting and showcasing the power of typography.
After discovering five Victorian letterpress machines they have began the journey to re-establishing themselves as a working press and museum. They see the development as a chance at creating a centre of excellence for typography in Ireland. Sawmills Studio aims to conserve, develop and protect the art form of letterpress printing while showcasing the social history of print in Kells, County Meath.
Create a visual communication identity, branding and strategy for Sawmills Studio that empathises with and connects with their target audiences while reflecting their ethos.
